Disappointed at being sent short-dated stock

I normally order 1 case each of 10x90g Chilli & Lime Cashews and 10x90g Nuts, Seeds & Goji Berries to avoid a delivery charge. With the latter being out of stock (a first disappointment), I doubled up on the Chilli & Lime Cashews instead - but the order arrived from a third party and only had two months' shelf life. I eat a lot of these delicious nuts, but even so this is pushing it and I feel I should have been advised of this and/or received a discount.
